For our Mechanical department at our Ecublens headquarters, we are looking for the following profile:

CNC Prototype Multi-Mechanic

MISSION

You produce high-precision prototype parts as well as small series intended for our development and production activities. You are responsible for the entire machining process, from defining the manufacturing method to the final inspection of parts, including CAM programming, machine setup, and production monitoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adopt a "prototyping" approach in manufacturing methods: optimise the "start-up & manufacturing" time
• Create programmes using Alphacam CAM software and Heidenhain & Fanuc CNC controls
• Machine parts on conventional machines, 2/4-axis CNC lathes, 3/4/5-axis CNC milling machines, surface and cylindrical grinding, wire and plunge EDM
• Prepare, mount and adjust cutting tools on machines
• Cut, fix and align parts in the work area
• Set machines according to established procedures
• Verify the programme on the machine via simulation
• Start and monitor production, correct any deviations
• Perform 100% inspection of finished parts ensuring compliance with drawing dimensions and record measured values on the machining drawing
• Mark operations of the work order on the Oracle ERP
• Ensure regular maintenance of the machine park according to manufacturer instructions in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager

PROFILE

• Federal VET Diploma as multi-mechanic, production mechanic or equivalent training
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in precision machining
• Experience in prototype manufacturing is a significant asset
• Proficient in CAM programming, ideally with Alphacam
• Good knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc CNC controls
• Excellent mastery of chip removal machining processes
• Ability to work on very high precision parts with tolerances up to 0.005mm
• Knowledge of surface and cylindrical grinding is an asset
• Knowledge of wire and plunge EDM is an asset
• Good knowledge of trigonometry and geometry applied to machining
• Comfortable with common IT tools and ERP systems
• Fluent in French
