The Cantonal Vocational School Zug is a federally recognised upper secondary school with an independent and practice-oriented educational profile. It offers an in-depth general education as well as vocational specialisations in the fields of health, pedagogy and social work and prepares its students specifically for training at higher vocational schools, universities of applied sciences and teacher training colleges.
Around 240 learners are taught in twelve classes by about 45 committed teachers. The FMS Zug sees itself as a manageable, personal school with individual support, a participatory school culture, a beautiful historic school building and a respectful learning and working atmosphere.

Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the personnel, pedagogical, organisational and administrative management of the school together with the two vice principals
- Further development of school and teaching quality
- Promotion of a respectful and future-oriented school culture
- Leadership and support of staff
- Collaboration with cantonal authorities, educational institutions and external partners
- Teaching duties on a smaller scale
Your profile
- Completed university degree and diploma for teaching at upper secondary level
- Completed school leadership training at upper secondary level or willingness to complete it
- Several years of teaching experience at upper secondary level
- Leadership experience in the education sector
- Strong interest in school development and education policy
- Enjoyment and interest in pedagogical issues and working with young people
- High communication and social skills
- Team-oriented, resilient and proactive personality
