About the job
Your Employer
You can read a diagnosis and understand what lies behind it. You just don’t want to do it in a lab coat at six in the morning anymore. Then read on.
Our client is a Swiss health insurer in the Brugg/Baden region. They serve a clearly defined customer group throughout Switzerland – manageable teams, short distances, no corporate bureaucracy. We are looking for reinforcement for claims assessment in the outpatient sector.
Your Tasks
- You check invoice and service documents and review them according to legal and medical requirements
- You approve invoices for payment or dispute them – you decide, not a form
- You respond to email enquiries from insured persons and service providers
- You provide information by phone, also to medical practices, hospitals and pharmacies
- You clarify open cases, if necessary together with the medical advisory service
Your Profile
- Medical foundation. MPA, nursing professional, medical practice coordinator – or commercial clerk with experience in a hospital or practice
- Besides German, you speak Italian or French at correspondence level B2. You make calls and write in it without hesitation
- Technical curiosity. The software has evolved and is not self-explanatory. You don’t have to be an IT expert, but you should be willing to engage with it
- Accuracy under volume. When many documents are pending at once, you don’t lose track
- Proximity to the workplace. A commute of over an hour is not sustainable in the long term – even with home office
- Friendliness in conflict. Not every dispute is well received on the phone
