Head of Group Procurement
With this newly created key role, we consolidate the group’s strategic procurement activities, strengthen collaboration across company and country borders, and specifically develop our procurement organisation further. As Head of Group Procurement, you are responsible for the further development and implementation of the group-wide procurement strategy of the swisspor Group. In close cooperation with the strategic procurement of the Swisspearl Group, you establish common standards, utilise synergy potentials, and ensure a powerful and sustainable supply chain.
Your Responsibilities
- Development, implementation, and continuous advancement of the group-wide procurement strategy
- Definition and management of strategic guidelines for framework agreements in the areas of raw materials, energy (gas and electricity), traded goods, vehicles, auxiliary and operating materials, as well as other central product groups
- Centralisation and bundling of the group-wide procurement volume to realise cost, quality, and supply advantages
- Development and management of strategic supplier partnerships including contract negotiations, framework agreements, and ensuring a resilient supply chain
- Identification and management of procurement and supply chain risks
- Monitoring compliance with procurement, quality, and corporate standards
- Deputising in raw material procurement and taking on operational procurement tasks as needed
- Further development of a modern procurement organisation and promotion of group-wide best practices
- Responsibility for the advancement of the ERP, digitalisation, and e-procurement landscape in close cooperation with IT, Finance, and operational procurement teams
Your Profile
- Higher education in procurement, business administration, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in strategic procurement as well as in the development and implementation of procurement strategies
- Proven success in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimisation projects
- Experience in an industrial environment as well as in implementing group-wide procurement, transformation, and digitalisation projects
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-departmental collaboration at group level
- Good knowledge of modern ERP and e-procurement systems
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken; French is an advantage
