Automation Engineer

Our field of activity:

• Industrial machines for heavy equipment in the naval sector.

• Development, realisation and manufacture of special machines integrating robotics, automation and welding.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain the software/HMI on the programmable logic controllers of our machines.

• Program, code and simulate industrial processes according to customer specifications.

• Perform testing, debugging and commissioning of our machines on site.

• Carry out commissioning at our clients’ premises (intercontinental travel to be expected).

• Work closely with the welding, electrical, software and robotics engineering teams.

• Write and maintain technical documentation.

• Write functional analyses of programmes and participate in risk analysis.

• Provide support and maintenance for deployed systems.

Your profile:

• Engineer or technician training in automation.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial machine programming.

• Significant experience in integrating industrial systems with HMI, robots and software.

• Proficiency with Siemens PLCs (Step7/Tia Portal/WinCC), Schneider is an advantage.

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, etc.)

• Dynamic, pragmatic and autonomous personality, with good interpersonal skills and a strong technical culture.

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary.
