jobgate ag is a personnel service company based in Aarau specialising in the placement and leasing of skilled personnel in the fields of mechanics, technology, IT, commercial professions, logistics, timber construction, chemistry and the construction ancillary trades.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a welder (a) for the TIG process immediately or by arrangement.
Responsibilities / Main tasks
- Processing hot gas cast turbine blades
- Manual welding using the TIG process
- Welding preparations with the hand grinding tool
- Carrying out FPI tests (fluorescent penetrant inspection)
- Monitoring the system and rectifying minor faults in cooperation with the maintenance department and system suppliers
- Deburring components and marking according to the required specifications
- Independent quality checks by visual inspection
- Reporting quality inspections in the SAP system
- Support in new developments, process improvements and system optimisation
- Implementation of KVP and 5S processes to identify and avoid waste
Qualifications / Requirements
- Completed technical basic training (polymechanic, sheet metal worker, plant and apparatus construction, or similar)
- Several years of experience in TIG welding with valid certifications (mandatory)
- Good material knowledge of aluminium, chrome steel and nickel-based alloys
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Good IT skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and 2-shift work
- Precise and clean working method
- Reliable and quality-conscious personality
