Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric (m/f) 80- 100%

As part of a network of 103 pharmacies, you will strengthen the BI & Data team and contribute to the development, architecture and governance of our analytical platform based on Microsoft Fabric.

The core of your work:

In your role as Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric (m/f) 80 - 100% you are responsible for:

• the design, construction and continuous development of our modern data platform and data architecture.

• the development, integration and optimisation of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data from various source systems.

• ensuring high data quality through automated validations, monitoring as well as data governance and data lineage concepts.

• the administration and optimisation of lakehouses, SQL analytics and storage structures regarding performance, scalability and costs.

• the definition and implementation of strategies for data integration, storage, partitioning and the entire data lifecycle.

• the documentation of data flows, transformation logics and metadata as well as the continuous maintenance and further development of the data catalogue.

• ensuring data security, access concepts and efficient use of platform resources.

What makes our heart beat faster:

• You have a degree in computer science, data engineering or a comparable field or bring equivalent professional experience.

• You have at least two to three years of practical experience in data engineering and are enthusiastic about modern data platforms and new technologies.

• You have sound knowledge of PySpark/Python, SQL as well as Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse, notebooks, pipelines and dataflows) and are familiar with modern data architectures.

• Ideally, you bring experience in data modelling, Delta Lake, REST APIs, Git as well as data governance.

• Knowledge of Power BI, especially in creating semantic models, dashboards and reports, is a plus.

• You work independently, in a structured and quality-conscious manner and enjoy solving complex technical issues.

• You communicate fluently in German and/or French. Technical English is an advantage.
