About the job
Your Tasks
- You define and implement the long-term vision, goals, and test strategy of the team in alignment with the department objectives.
- You plan, coordinate, and monitor functional validation programmes on test benches for hydraulic components.
- You ensure high validation standards and drive innovation by establishing and continuously improving test methods and best practices.
- You analyse test results and translate the findings into concrete recommendations for product improvement.
- You work closely with the design engineering, quality, and production departments to align test priorities and support product development.
- You develop and implement standardised test procedures as well as data analysis methods to improve the efficiency, reliability, and reproducibility of validation activities.
- You monitor project progress, resource allocation, and team performance, providing regular updates and recommendations to the department management.
- You ensure compliance with safety standards in all test and laboratory activities.
Your Profile
- You have a degree in mechanical engineering, preferably specialising in mobile hydraulics, mobile machinery, drive systems, construction or agricultural machinery.
- You have proven experience in development and validation engineering, ideally in the field of hydraulic drive systems, mobile machinery, or off-highway applications.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulic drives, control systems, and functional validation methods, combined with a good understanding of machine functions and system behaviour under real operating conditions.
- Leadership is a central part of your profile: you actively coach and promote your team, set clear priorities, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. You foster a performance-oriented culture, strengthen personal responsibility, and support your team in solving complex technical challenges.
- You combine strategic thinking with strong analytical skills, enabling you to solve complex technical challenges, support your team in root cause analyses, and drive sustainable improvements in products, test methods, and processes.
- You communicate confidently in French and German and have good English skills.
