The district of Western Lausanne as well as the Municipality of Jouxtens-Mézery, home to over 90,000 inhabitants, are seeking a site inspector whose main task is the enforcement of the Vaud Accident Prevention Regulations (Rpac).

A versatile role within the Western municipalities

The position is attached to the inter-municipal site inspection (IIC), based in Chavannes-près-Renens, and requires great flexibility and a high degree of autonomy.

Your main activities will be:

Participate in site start-up meetings

Carry out site visits/inspections

Inform site managers and relevant authorities of any non-compliances observed for corrective measures to be taken

Write visit reports

Manage the inter-municipal service, organisation, budget, etc.

Collaborate with various municipal services

This position requires:

Technical diploma in the construction field

Engineer diploma or MSST safety officer or federal certificate in occupational safety and health protection (STPS)

Experience in site safety

Meticulousness and thoroughness

Organisational skills and sense of responsibility

Autonomy, analytical mind and good interpersonal skills

Your profile:

You hold a technical diploma in the construction field (EPF/HES/ES) or an engineer or MSST safety officer training or a federal certificate in occupational safety and health protection (STPS)

You have several years of prior experience in site safety and excellent knowledge of risk and hazard prevention

You have a sense of responsibility, the rigour necessary for managing important projects, and a meticulous mind

You are an organised person with very good interpersonal skills and excellent analytical abilities

You propose pragmatic and relevant solutions, adapted to different interlocutors

You are particularly flexible regarding emergencies and occasionally available outside usual working hours
