Technical Editor (m/f/d)

As a Technical Editor, you are responsible for the creation of precise and standards-compliant operating instructions for our complex systems and machines. You ensure that all technical content is prepared correctly, clearly and in accordance with the applicable EU directives. You contribute your expertise not only in documentation but also in the procurement and implementation of technical content. You work independently on the monitoring of translation projects, support the safety team by creating safety-relevant documents and assist in the further development of our web-based PLM system. Your technical expertise and communication skills make you an important part of the team that ensures our customers always have access to the most relevant and precise documentation.
Responsibilities:
Creation and maintenance of operating instructions and technical documents that comply with the current EU directives
Procurement and implementation of relevant technical content for documentation and compilation of materials
Independent handling and monitoring of translation orders to ensure documentation is available in various languages
Creation and maintenance of safety-relevant documents, as well as active participation in the safety team
Further development and expansion of the web-based PLM system to ensure efficient management of documentation
Close collaboration with various departments to ensure all technical information is correctly and completely documented
Illustration of technical content and image editing to improve the clarity of documentation
Qualifications:
Completed technical vocational training in the field of automation and/or plant engineering, ideally with experience in technical editing of capital goods
Further training as a Technical Editor, with solid knowledge of machinery directives or machinery regulations
Extensive expertise in technical documentation, especially in illustration and image editing (Adobe InDesign)
Proficient use of MS Office and experience with SAP, CAD NX/Teamcenter are advantageous
Independent, quality-conscious working style with a high technical understanding and a keen eye for detail
Fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form, additional language skills are advantageous
Strong communication skills and initiative to work efficiently both in a team and with external partners
