Role:

As an Application Operations Specialist, you are the technical point of contact for business-critical applications. You enjoy understanding data flows and thoroughly analysing dependencies between systems. You manage personalisation software and adjacent production systems with a keen eye for stability and security. You bring new releases into production in a controlled manner, leaving nothing to chance. With your sense for optimisation, you noticeably drive the further development of the applications.

Responsibilities:

• You carefully plan updates, patches, and upgrades and coordinate integration and acceptance tests before each go-live.

• You take care of configuration, monitoring, and lifecycle of the applications and respond quickly to anomalies in performance or availability.

• You analyse faulty data transmissions and inconsistencies at interfaces and ensure data integrity through validations.

• Additionally, you provide 1st and 2nd level support, narrowing down complex faults and resolving them together with manufacturers.

• You maintain rules, data structures, and permissions and implement professional requirements into appropriate configurations.

• You also participate in digitisation projects, lead technical sub-projects, and keep operational and interface documentation up to date.

Qualifications:

• You have a computer science education, a degree in business informatics, or an equivalent technical qualification.

• At least three years of practical experience in application operations or application engineering have shaped you.

• You can effortlessly read structured formats such as XML, JSON, or CSV, and ideally, you are familiar with integration technologies such as REST APIs or web services.

• You work routinely according to ITIL-related processes for incident, problem, and release management and have experience with role concepts and the assignment of system accesses.

• Furthermore, knowledge of SQL, databases, or monitoring tools supports you in thorough analyses. Experience with personalisation software is an advantage.

• You also work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, communicate clearly in German, and conduct technical discussions confidently in English.
