What awaits you.
The Rail Management service manages and develops safety installations to ensure safe and reliable railway operations. In this role, you design, together with your team, solutions for thousands of travellers and tonnes of goods, thus influencing the strategic development and digitalisation of our systems at national and European levels. You hold a leadership position with a wide scope for manoeuvre and a clearly results-oriented focus. To learn about the benefits we offer, such as child allowances, free 1st class GA travel, or discounted foreign travel (also for your family), please visit our website under the social benefits section.
What you can move forward.
- Together with your team leaders, you manage a department of around 45 engineers, physicists and other specialists, taking technical and hierarchical responsibility.
- In collaboration with users, you define and take responsibility for strategic initiatives aimed at developing rail management systems, digitalisation and innovation (e.g. digital verification processes, automation, data analysis).
- You ensure compliance with technical standards (notably CENELEC), safety requirements and quality standards, and you monitor adherence to the financial framework.
- As a member of the Rail Management leadership team, you actively contribute to its development, both human and technological. You manage and develop the network with industrial partners, suppliers as well as national and European project partners, and represent Rail Management in the competent bodies.
What you bring.
- With courage and determination, you carry out major transformation projects, always keeping in mind the human aspects related to change.
- During your career, you have already gained experience in leading interdisciplinary teams.
- You have experience in project portfolio, budget and risk management. With tact and diplomacy, you manage to balance complex issues between customer needs, profitability and safety.
- You can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of industrial development processes (V-model, standards such as CENELEC) and the railway environment.
- This role requires higher technical education (ETH, university, university of applied sciences or equivalent), ideally complemented by further training in business management or leadership.
- You communicate fluently in German (minimum level C1) and have good knowledge of a second national language (minimum level B2).
Your salary and social benefits.
We are actively committed to pay equality. This commitment is made in accordance with the Code of Obligations, taking into account a comparison with the team, the market and the sector.
Here is a good way to start.
