In this role, you will engage in a highly motivated, interdisciplinary environment with pronounced clinical and academic expertise as well as state-of-the-art technical equipment, including two photon-counting computed tomography scanners for thoracic and vascular CT diagnostics. You will receive protected research time for ongoing projects on AI-based image analysis, ILD quantification, prognostic models, vascular imaging, and photon-counting CT, and have the opportunity to develop your own scientific project under personal mentorship. In clinical practice, you will interpret the entire thoracic and vascular spectrum, work closely with interventional disciplines, gradually take on more independence, and play an active role in tumour, ILD, and vascular boards. Through a structured fellowship curriculum over 2.5 years, you will develop specifically with the goal of obtaining a diploma. Additionally, you will participate in teaching and further education and take on duties in general radiology from the second year onwards.
Responsibilities:
You will undertake a demanding and varied clinical activity in a clinical-diagnostic centre with scientific affiliation
In this role, you will perform clinical work at a university level with close scientific connection
As a senior physician in radiology, you will utilise substantial research time and be supported in third-party funding applications as well as in publications and conference contributions
You will develop your academic career with the perspective of habilitation
In this role, you will be guaranteed to attend conferences and acquire international certificates
Qualifications:
- You hold a specialist title in radiology and have a strong interest in thoracic and vascular imaging
- You bring a pronounced scientific interest in AI-based and quantitative image analysis; programming skills are welcome but not a prerequisite
- You work independently, are patient-oriented, and demonstrate teamwork skills
- You communicate confidently in German and have good to very good language skills; good English skills are an advantage
