Senior System Engineer (m/f/d)
Our ROCKEN partner is a German company specialising in the development, production and distribution of electronic components and systems. Our partner is known for automation, robotics, energy supply, telecommunications and transport.
The company offers a wide range of products and services, including customised solutions for special requirements.
Role:
In this role, as a Senior IT System Administrator, you take responsibility for the stable, secure and efficient operation of complex IT infrastructures. You plan, configure and maintain server systems, networks and relevant applications, ensuring their availability during ongoing operations. You also analyse and resolve faults, optimise existing system landscapes and consistently implement defined security and compliance requirements. You work closely with interfaces in IT and contribute your expertise to projects for the further development of the system environment. With your professional handling of modern technologies, you make a decisive contribution to ensuring a future-proof and high-performance IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Technical co-responsibility for a business-critical IT environment and ensuring stable services for users and operational business areas
Modernisation and optimisation of workplace and infrastructure platforms including end devices, software, data backup and adjacent technical systems
Solving demanding system problems as well as continuous improvement of operational quality through structured troubleshooting and proactive optimisations
Management of workplace projects and technical collaboration in changes to the server and network landscape as well as taking responsibility within the IT team
Qualifications:
Solid system technology background with several years of experience in infrastructure engineering, IT operations or technical support
Very good understanding of Microsoft-based client/server environments and complex identity or Active Directory structures
Experience in independently carrying out IT projects combined with a hands-on mentality, quality awareness and high reliability
Communicative team player with a strong service orientation, confident German and English skills at least at B2 level
