Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you are responsible for the service organisation of ABB's Critical Power Business Line. You bear full accountability for the performance of the service business, consistently implement the strategy in practice, and achieve ambitious growth targets. Reporting directly to the Sales, Service & Project Execution Leader Switzerland, you take on a key role in accelerating market growth, sustainably deepening customer partnerships, and ensuring high-quality execution in all service activities.

Your main responsibilities include in particular:
Implementation and further development of the service strategy as a member of the local management team, including cross-departmental coordination for consistent implementation.
Overall responsibility for successful project execution (deadlines, costs, quality) according to ABB service standards.
Ensuring operational excellence and high customer satisfaction through close collaboration with sales, project management, and other business line functions.
Leadership and development of the regional service organisation (Critical Power) as well as establishing a pronounced safety and integrity culture.
Your qualifications:
Master's degree (ideally postgraduate) in business administration or engineering – with proven ability to confidently combine commercial goals and technical requirements.
At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in the UPS and/or data centre environment, ideally with strong proximity to mission-critical applications (e.g. data centres, semiconductors, infrastructure, utilities).
Responsibility for results and growth in the service business (revenue, profitability, margin) – you can consistently convert growth into sustainable value creation.
Leadership experience in larger regional service organisations with demonstrable success in profitable scaling, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Strong matrix and stakeholder competence: you win over diverse interest groups, create alignment, and translate global strategies into actionable regional commercial plans.
High technical credibility in electrical installation, UPS systems, and battery technologies, complemented by a solid understanding of relevant standards/regulations and customer purchasing behaviour.
Data- and digitally savvy: proficient in SAP and modern tools for pipeline transparency, more accurate forecasts, and customer-centric solutions; fluent in English, native-level German.
