About the job
Politics defines the framework conditions of the SSR. Dialogue with political interest groups and mutual understanding are therefore paramount. The SSR Public Affairs department is responsible for the strategic management of decision-making processes at the crossroads of political, economic and societal affairs; it maintains ongoing exchanges with political interest groups and supports legislative processes at the Federal Palace.
Public Affairs Specialist (m/f/d)
Your mission
As a Public Affairs Specialist, you independently manage political files, provide your political expertise within expert groups and follow parliamentary work from start to finish.
- Responsibility for projects related to public affairs and representation of the Public Affairs department within internal project and working groups
- Research and analysis; development of scenarios, concepts and strategies (including positions and measures) in the field of public affairs
- Preparation of explanatory documents, political arguments, presentations and texts for various internal and external channels
- Monitoring political and regulatory news; strategic assessment of their relevance for the SSR; regular reports to management
- Support in the area of political stakeholder management with, if necessary, contact initiation and representation of interests
Your profile
- Proven experience of several years in the field of public affairs in a company, association or agency
- In-depth knowledge of political processes and institutions; good command of public affairs tools and methods
- Political or scientific-media background; enhanced understanding of issues related to media policy and public service
- Fluency in German and very good knowledge of French; knowledge of other national languages would be an asset
- Strong interest in and understanding of the challenges of public service media; solution-oriented approach
