Technical Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

Role:

For our ROCKEN partner, an internationally active and rapidly growing company in the retail sector headquartered in Zug, we are looking for an experienced individual as Accounting Manager starting immediately or by arrangement.

You will contribute your expertise in retail accounting as well as your planning and organisational skills and support the global retail organisation in the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports. Responsibilities:

• You ensure a timely and accurate monthly closing process

• You review and approve journal entries, monthly account reconciliations and variance analyses

• You prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with internal policies and processes

• You professionally supervise and support employees in accounts payable and general ledger accounting

• You are responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of general ledger accounts and financial data according to company policies and local accounting standards

• You support the annual budgeting process as well as regular forecasting processes

• You identify optimisation opportunities in corporate accounting processes and assist the Director Finance & Accounting with projects and the implementation of new software solutions

Qualifications:

• You have a degree in finance/accounting or a comparable professional qualification with relevant further training

• You bring at least 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting/finance, including experience in developing accounting policies and processes; retail experience is an advantage

• You have very good Excel skills as well as fluent German and English language skills

• You are characterised by a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment

• You have experience with international companies and cross-border transactions; NetSuite knowledge is an advantage
