At the Clinic for Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry of the University Psychiatric Centre Bern (UPZ), you accompany people with cognitive impairments in challenging life situations. On our crisis intervention ward, you support our patients in managing crises, regaining stability, and improving their quality of life. Together with a dedicated interprofessional team, you shape person-centred care and actively develop our ward concept further.

Your tasks

• You provide person-centred care and support to people with cognitive impairments and behavioural abnormalities on our closed acute ward and accompany them in their life and daily routines
• You support the interprofessional treatment team in care and the implementation of therapeutic measures
• You take on tasks in administration, logistics, and medical technology, contributing to a smooth daily routine on the ward
• You actively bring your expertise and experience into daily business and help shape the care of our patients
• You implement our ward concept together with the team and contribute to its continuous development
• You work closely with the interprofessional treatment team to promote the stabilisation of our patients and their quality of life

Your profile

• You have completed training as a Health Specialist EFZ
• You are interested in psychiatry and ideally already have relevant professional experience
• You appreciate working in an interprofessional team and feel comfortable in a dynamic environment
• You approach people with an appreciative and respectful attitude and handle challenging situations reflectively
• You bring humour, resilience, and the ability to act calmly and professionally even in demanding situations
• You work goal- and patient-oriented, take responsibility, and want to actively help shape care and our ward concept
