MECHANICAL WORKSHOP MANAGER (M/F)
Main mission: Mechanical workshop manager - Manufacturing and fine-tuning of watchmaking tools, responsible for managing and coordinating a specialised team in the manufacture, fine-tuning and maintenance of tools intended for the watchmaking sector. Ensures quality, reliability and respect of production deadlines while actively contributing to technical improvement and optimisation of manufacturing processes.
Job description
Team management and coordination (20%)
- Supervise, coordinate and support a team of specialised micromechanics / polymecanics technicians.
- Organise and allocate tasks according to production priorities and skills.
- Monitor performance, transfer know-how and develop skills.
- Foster a collaborative working environment within a small team of experts.
Production and manufacturing (80%)
- Oversee the production of mechanical parts made on a fleet of 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, EDM, grinders as well as certain manual operations.
- Actively participate in the manufacture, fine-tuning and maintenance of tools.
- Perform or supervise high-precision machining operations intended for watchmaking tooling.
- Ensure conformity of produced parts according to technical and quality requirements.
Machine adjustment and monitoring
- Adjust, program and control CNC machines to ensure optimal operation.
- Ensure smooth running of machining operations and intervene in case of deviations or technical problems.
- Optimise machining processes and production parameters.
Quality and control
- Guarantee production quality through:
- 3D dimensional controls.
- Use of measuring instruments.
- Ensure traceability and conformity of produced parts.
Planning
- Ensure respect of the production schedule.
- Anticipate manufacturing needs and coordinate priorities with relevant departments.
Profile
- Technician in microtechnology or CFC micromechanic, polymecanic technician.
- Federal diploma as mechanical workshop manager would be an additional asset.
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Experience in team management.
- Trainer diploma - apprentice polymecanic technician (an asset).
- Good mastery of 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and CAM.
- Experience in EDM processes.
- Experience in surface and cylindrical grinding.
- Experience in dimensional control and precision measuring tools.
