Uster, the third largest city in the canton of Zurich, with around 37,000 inhabitants, is a dynamically growing city in the Zurich metropolitan area and known as a sports city and an innovative regional center. The Sports Division (GF) with 27 full-time positions (approx. 60 employees) is responsible within the Health Department for the maintenance and further development of sports facilities as well as sports promotion.

Your main tasks
- Leadership, coordination, and further development of the Sports Division
- Development and maintenance of sports infrastructure
- Promotion of sporting activities
- Responsibility for budget and investment planning, including preparation of credit requests to the city and municipal council
- Planning and coordination of construction projects
- Responding to parliamentary initiatives
- Development of concepts and decision-making bases
- Maintaining the network with stakeholders and partners of the Sports Division
- Representation of the Sports Division internally and externally
You bring with you
- Master's degree in business administration or sports sciences with business administration further education
- Ideally additional training in the field of sports facilities and leadership
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally in a public administration or sports organization, including budget responsibility
- Experience in planning, accompanying, and coordinating construction projects
- Interest in sports topics as well as political processes
- High affinity for technical systems and digitalization
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style and conceptual skills
- High service orientation, enjoyment in contact with the public and collaboration with internal and external partners
- Resilient, team-oriented, and willing to take responsibility in the area of tasks
