Quality Assurance & Sample Technician (m/f/d)
Naturex AG, a company of the Givaudan Group, is a world-leading supplier of high-quality fruit and vegetable powders for the food and baby food industry. At our production sites in Bischofszell (TG) and Burgdorf (BE), we combine the highest quality standards with sustainable and innovative solutions – for customers all over the world.
For our laboratory in Burgdorf, we are looking for you as a Quality Assurance & Sample Technician (m/f/d). In this versatile role, you will carry out chemical-physical analyses on raw, additive and auxiliary materials as well as on intermediate and final products for the production of fruit and vegetable powders, thereby making an important contribution to ensuring our high quality standards.
Your tasks:
- Conduct chemical-physical analyses as well as sensory evaluations of raw, additive and auxiliary materials as well as intermediate and final products
- Perform and manage microbiological analyses, process samples and carry out weekly hygiene monitoring including swab sampling.
- Sampling, preparation, distribution, retention and management of samples throughout the entire analysis process
- Independent calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment within your own work area
- Assume general administrative tasks related to laboratory infrastructure, such as managing chemicals, consumables and disposal
- Contribute to the development and optimisation of analytical methods
- Organisation and dispatch of samples
- Willingness to occasionally work night and weekend shifts for sample and swab collection
Your profile
- Professional experience in the food industry
- Experience in laboratory and analytics; knowledge of sensory analysis is an advantage
- Precise and efficient working style with a high awareness of hygiene according to defined guidelines and quality standards
- Good computer skills and practical experience with Microsoft Excel
- Independent, reliable and responsible personality
- Strong team spirit and good organisational skills
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, English skills are an advantage
