Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the project management of demanding civil engineering and railway infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for infrastructure projects from planning and design through execution to commissioning and lead interdisciplinary project teams through the various project phases. The focus is on the development of structural engineering solutions, project control as well as cost, schedule and quality management. Additionally, you will contribute to digital project execution using modern VDC/BIM methods in infrastructure and railway construction.
Responsibilities:
Independent project management of complex civil engineering and railway infrastructure projects across various planning and implementation phases
Managing projects from preliminary studies and design through tendering and execution to commissioning
Development and assessment of structural engineering solutions for demanding tasks in civil and railway construction
Technical leadership and coordination of project engineers and interdisciplinary planning teams
Responsibility for compliance and control of costs, schedules, quality and project objectives
Coordination of collaboration with clients, authorities, specialist planners, contractors and other project participants
Preparation and review of design documents, technical reports, tenders and project documentation
Support of tendering, awarding and execution planning as well as technical assistance during realisation
Ensuring design compliance with relevant SIA standards, Swiss guidelines and railway-specific requirements
Application and further development of VDC/BIM methods for model-based planning and coordination of infrastructure projects
Technical mentoring and support of junior civil engineers within the project teams
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH/ETH or comparable university degree
At least 5 years of professional experience in civil or railway construction across various planning and project phases
Proven experience in project management of infrastructure projects, ideally in Swiss railway construction
Solid knowledge in design, project control and Swiss construction processes, experience with VDC/BIM is an advantage
Very good German language skills, spoken and written, additional language skills are an advantage
