Complex IT landscapes demand more than mere operation: technical foresight, architectural understanding and the ability to develop robust solutions from demanding requirements are required. This position combines engineering, architecture and technical project management in a modern ICT environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the technical stability, security and continuous development of sophisticated ICT services
Design of server, network, cloud, hosting and security architectures
Development of scalable technical solution architectures for internal and external projects
Technical leadership of complex infrastructure, cloud, migration and transformation projects
Definition of modern architectural standards and technical operating models
Evaluation of new technologies and integration of suitable solutions into the existing ICT landscape
Development of strategies for cloud, hosting and platform services
Planning and management of releases, changes, integrations and technical migrations
Analysis of complex faults as well as execution of structured recovery and restart procedures
Optimisation of monitoring, alerting, patch management, performance and system availability
Development of concepts for backup, disaster recovery and business continuity
Consideration of security by design, data protection and regulatory requirements
Technical consulting of customers, departments and internal stakeholders
Support in the development of technology roadmaps
Promotion of knowledge transfer and professional exchange within the ICT team
Qualifications:
Education or further training in computer science, business informatics or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience in system engineering, infrastructure engineering or ICT architecture
Solid understanding of modern server, network, cloud and security architectures
Experience with complex ICT infrastructures in enterprise, hosting or managed services environments
Practical experience in technical leadership of infrastructure and transformation projects
Knowledge of modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
Experience with technologies such as VMware, Linux, Microsoft Server or Fortinet is an advantage
Understanding of IT service management and structured operational processes
Analytical and conceptual thinking
Strong communication skills and enjoyment of technical consulting
Ability to prepare complex technical matters in an understandable way
Very good German skills and good English skills
