Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a civil engineer specialising in BIM/VDC and structural engineering for demanding industrial and infrastructure projects. You combine classic structural design with the coordination and further development of digital planning and project execution methods. The focus is on industrial buildings as well as civil engineering structures in road, water and railway construction, model-based collaboration and structured BIM project execution. Depending on experience, you will increasingly take responsibility for projects and the technical coordination of a small team.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and execution of BIM/VDC projects in structural engineering, industrial and infrastructure construction
Development, application and further development of BIM standards, modelling guidelines and digital planning workflows
Planning and dimensioning of structures for industrial and commercial buildings
Design of civil engineering structures in road, water and railway construction, such as bridges, support structures and other engineering constructions
Preparation and processing of static calculations, structural concepts and verification reports
Coordination and quality assurance of BIM specialist models as well as alignment of relevant model interfaces
Conducting model checks, clash detections and quality checks within digital project execution
Coordination of model-based collaboration between civil engineers, designers and other specialist planners
Independent management of assigned projects regarding deadlines, technical quality and planning progress
Technical coordination and support of a small project or BIM team
Technical coordination with clients, authorities, specialist planners and contractors
Ensuring planning and dimensioning according to relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer BSc/FH/ETH, ideally with a focus on structural engineering
Knowledge in structural design as well as interest or experience in industrial construction and/or civil engineering structures
Experience or solid knowledge in BIM/VDC, 3D modelling and model-based project coordination
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards as well as common structural, CAD and BIM software
Good German language skills, spoken and written
