Application Manager KIS (m/f/d)

In this role, you are responsible for the operation and continuous development of the clinical information system (KIS/PIS) including patient data management. You configure and customise user interfaces, monitor system availability, troubleshoot issues, and maintain close communication with software manufacturers to ensure stable and secure applications. You ensure compliance with data protection and security requirements, coordinate updates and adjustments according to clinical needs, and integrate medical devices with the KIS/PIS. Additionally, you actively participate in projects in the PDMS environment and take on 2nd-level user support as well as coordinate 3rd-level support. With your IT background, understanding of database-supported applications, and solution-oriented working style, you contribute decisively to the digitalisation and quality of clinical processes.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for stable and secure operation of business-critical applications for the digital recording and processing of clinical information
Further development of the system landscape through individual customising, technical interfaces, and integration of medical devices
Translating clinical requirements into concrete system adjustments as well as coordinating updates and extensive further developments
Interface function between users, internal IT, and external manufacturers including support management and sustainable problem resolution
Qualifications:
Technical educational background and practical experience in application management or comparable IT system environments
Good understanding of the interaction between applications, databases, interfaces, and server infrastructures
Ideally knowledge in scripting or development with SQL, PowerShell or C# as well as interest in healthcare IT
Independent and quality-conscious working style, strong team spirit, and confident communication in German; English skills are welcome
