Do you wish to leverage your expertise in finance in a role combining financial management, controlling, and project management?

On behalf of our client, a public institution active in the field of education and operating in a dynamic environment, we are looking for a deputy head of the finance department at 80% - 100% to support financial management and contribute to the development of the department's activities.

Your tasks with your new employer

• You supervise general accounting, carry out interim and annual closing tasks, and participate in the preparation of financial statements
• You participate in audits as well as the budgeting process
• You develop and improve controlling and financial management tools
• You contribute to the application and maintenance of the internal control system (ICS) and participate in risk management
• You assist the head of department in managing financial activities and act as their deputy in their absence
• You manage various transformation projects, notably related to digitalisation, process automation, and optimisation of the department's tools
• You ensure the quality and reliability of financial data

You offer your new employer

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree, a federal diploma, or an equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or economics
• You have at least 5 years of confirmed professional experience in a similar role
• You have experience in the public sector, ideally with knowledge of MCH2 standards, which is a real advantage
• You possess advanced knowledge of finance, controlling, and mechanisms related to an internal control system (ICS)
• You ideally have initial experience in management and/or project management
• You are proficient in financial management and analysis tools
• You are autonomous and solution-oriented by nature, with excellent analytical and synthesis skills
