In close collaboration with the Head of the Real Estate Heritage Sector, you will contribute to implementing the Bourgeoisie’s heritage strategy to preserve, enhance and sustainably pass on a unique heritage.

Real Estate Heritage Sector
A historic institution working for the benefit of the community, the Bourgeoisie of the City of Fribourg is the custodian of an exceptional heritage composed notably of historic buildings, rental properties, shops, agricultural estates, alpine pastures, vineyards, forests as well as significant land reserves.
In close collaboration with the Head of the Real Estate Heritage Sector, you will contribute to implementing the Bourgeoisie’s heritage strategy to preserve, enhance and sustainably pass on a unique heritage.
Your responsibilities
- Represent the client in managing renovation, rehabilitation, transformation and maintenance projects of the real estate heritage
- Independently manage the projects entrusted to you, from design to completion, ensuring compliance with costs, deadlines, quality and set objectives
- Lead varied projects notably involving historic and protected buildings, rental properties, agricultural buildings as well as the enhancement of land heritage, with a sustainable and long-term vision
- Coordinate contractors, architects, engineers, companies and competent authorities, and represent the Bourgeoisie throughout the projects
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of investment and maintenance budgets
- Provide your expertise in projects involving issues related to built heritage, its protection, spatial planning and construction procedures
Your profile
- Higher education in construction as a Technician / Construction Site Manager with a diploma ES (or Federal Certificate) or equivalent training
- Proven experience in managing construction or renovation projects or in representing the client
- Sensitivity to built heritage and strong interest in the conservation, restoration and enhancement of historic and protected buildings
- Good knowledge of construction procedures, SIA standards and current regulations; experience with public procurement is an asset
- Excellent organisational, coordination and planning skills, enabling you to manage several projects simultaneously with autonomy
- Analytical mind, sense of responsibility and ability to develop pragmatic solutions reconciling heritage, technical, financial and environmental issues
- Good interpersonal skills and a taste for teamwork, enabling effective collaboration with authorities, contractors, companies and internal partners
- French or German native speaker with good knowledge of the partner language
- Proficiency in common IT tools (Office 365); knowledge of Stratus and SIMAP is an asset
