Job Description
At the heart of the functioning of the State, and more particularly for the administrative and operational management of the activities of the Council of State, the Secretariat of the Council of State is the body responsible for ensuring the planning, organisation, coordination and monitoring of government activities. As such, it prepares the weekly meetings, drafts the minutes, manages administrative matters and publishes official decisions. It works closely with departments and numerous institutional partners.
Attached to the Administrative, Logistic and Strategic Division of the State Chancellery, you play an essential role and undertake a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities
Support management in the strategic planning of the Council of State's activities
Carry out tasks inherent to the smooth running of the Secretariat of the Council of State to ensure the preparation and follow-up of Council of State meetings
Act as the SIEL (IT Solution for the management of Executive and Legislative affairs) contact person
Support the head of the administrative, logistic and strategic division in the organisation and administrative and protocol management of ceremonies and events

Qualifications
- Commercial employee CFC or equivalent qualification
- 5 years' professional experience within the management secretariat of a cross-functional service or general management
- Excellent knowledge of the institutions and the Vaud cantonal administration
- Proficiency in Office software; knowledge of the SIEL application is an asset
- Sense of responsibility and public service ethics
- Customer orientation
- Self-control and stress management
- Good organisation and priority management
- Excellent spelling and writing skills
Holidays must be taken during the Council of State's break periods (school holidays), in coordination with the head of the Council of State secretariat.
