The "Les Buissonnets" Foundation has been caring for children and adults with severe disabilities for over 50 years in two special school homes, in a residential and work area for adults (Home Atelier), in the physio-ergotherapy service, as well as in the outpatient special education service of the Canton of Fribourg.
Due to the upcoming retirement of the director of the Schulheim (SH), we are looking for a:
Director of the Schulheim (SH) at 90%

Your task:
- Operational as well as pedagogical-therapeutic management of a special school and a residential area for children and young people aged 4 to 18 with disabilities
- Responsibility for the personnel, financial and material resources of the SH in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Les Buissonnets Foundation
- Responsibility for teaching as well as the pedagogical and therapeutic offerings of the SH (organisation of classes, allocation of pupils, support of pupils, etc.)
- Ensuring communication with internal and external partners and specialist offices of the SH
in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Les Buissonnets Foundation - As a member of the Directors' Conference of the Buissonnets, contributing to the further development and implementation of the strategy of the Les Buissonnets Foundation and the SH in cooperation with the Foundation and its other institutions
Desired profile:
- University degree in the field of special education or an equivalent recognised qualification
- CAS/DAS in management of social institutions
- At least five years of experience in special education teaching
- Solid experience in leadership, project management, personnel management as well as financial management (planning, budgeting, etc.)
- Strong social and communication skills as well as the ability to manage complex situations
Innovative thinking and the ability to contribute to the strategy of the Foundation and the SH together with the Foundation and its other institutions - Native German speaker with very good knowledge of French (at least level B2)

in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Les Buissonnets Foundation - As a member of the Buissonnets Management Committee, participating in the development and implementation of the strategy of the Les Buissonnets Foundation and the SH, in collaboration with the Foundation and its other institutions
Desired profile:
- University degree in the field of special education or an equivalent recognised qualification
- CAS/DAS in management of social institutions
- At least five years of experience in special education teaching
- Solid experience in management, project management, personnel management and financial management (planning, budgeting, etc.)
- Excellent social and communication skills, ability to manage complex situations
- Innovative spirit, ability to participate in the strategy of the Foundation and the SH, in collaboration with
the Foundation and its other institutions - Native German speaker, with excellent knowledge of French (min. level B2)
