Mandatory Nursing Internship

We are a family-run rural hospital that plays a central role in basic medical care in the Seeland region with its broad range of services. The wards include the specialties of medicine, surgery, and orthopaedics with an integrated two-bed monitoring room and offer various challenging nursing situations. In this exciting area of responsibility, we offer a 4-week nursing internship in accordance with the requirements of the University of Bern, Bachelor of Human Medicine programme.

What to expect

• Nursing internship for human medicine students as a prerequisite for admission to the 2nd year of study
• Duration: Continuous 4 weeks at 100% employment rate

What you bring

• You have passed the aptitude test for medical studies in Switzerland (EMS) or are enrolled at the University of Bern for the Bachelor of Human Medicine
• You want to gain insight into the areas of responsibility of health and nursing care and bring motivation and initiative to achieve your learning goals
• You are ready to apply newly acquired skills in everyday life and to care for our patients and their relatives with appreciation and empathy
