About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing primary care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
In our paediatrics department, everything revolves around the competent and personal care of our youngest patients – from the first day of life to adolescence. Our small, dedicated team works closely with obstetrics, emergency services, and other specialist departments. Short distances, straightforward communication, and a familial collaboration characterise our daily routine.
Senior Physician / Consultant Paediatrics
What Awaits You
- Care of newborns including primary adaptation
- Care of children in the emergency department (surgical and paediatric)
- Opportunity to establish your own consultation hours
- Participation in the development of emergency care for children
- Shift work between 7:30 am and 10:30 pm
- Organisation of regular training sessions for assistant doctors in medicine, surgery, and gynaecology
What You Bring to Us
- Specialist in paediatrics, possibly with an additional focus
