Insight into our work
The Central Services sector consolidates the cross-sectional and support tasks of the Department of Education. The Central Services form the competence centre for organisational, business management, personnel policy and system technical issues at the department level and are divided into the following five departments: Finance and Controlling, Digitalisation and IT, Personnel, Space and Facilities, and Material Centre. These ensure smooth operations and act as versatile service providers for the department's specialist areas.
The Finance & Controlling (F&C) department is responsible for the financial accounting and controlling of the Department of Education. With around 20 employees, it coordinates and controls the budgeting and financial planning process and is responsible for the accounting of the entire department. It also acts as a competence centre for specialist and business management issues and ensures financial reporting to internal and external bodies.
We value and utilise the diversity of our employees and ensure an equal opportunity working environment.
We support our employees with more time for their family and an additional maintenance allowance on top of the family allowance.
Our centrally located sites are easily accessible on foot, by bike and by public transport.
