DWH Developer specialising in Power BI (m/f/d)
Role:
Do you want to not only operate a Data Warehouse (DWH) but also help shape it from the ground up? As a DWH developer specialising in Power BI, you will take on exactly this task in the financial services environment. The focus is on building a modern data platform based on Microsoft SQL Server and meaningful analyses with Power BI. Your work creates transparency and provides the departments with reliable decision-making foundations. You will enjoy a great deal of creative freedom and will sustainably shape the data strategy.
Responsibilities:
You design a new DWH, build it, and are responsible for the operation of the existing data warehouses as well as an Operational Data Store (ODS).
With Power BI, you develop dashboards and reports that offer real added value to the departments.
You design robust data pipelines with T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerShell.
This also includes backup and disaster recovery strategies, targeted query tuning and a clean authorisation concept.
You ensure reliable and secure interfaces to internal and external partners, further develop operational applications and accompany database migrations.
Furthermore, you coordinate closely with software providers and external development teams and contribute to strategic projects.
Qualifications:
A university degree (university or university of applied sciences) in business informatics, business administration, finance or an equivalent background forms your basis.
You have several years of experience in database administration, SQL development and data analysis.
You are familiar with business intelligence and data modelling, and ideally you have already helped build a DWH.
Experience with banking software or in the financial sector is a clear advantage.
You tackle problems pragmatically, think in contexts and deliver results that others can rely on.
In addition, you are fluent in German at a negotiation level and can conduct technical discussions effortlessly in English.
