About the job
Welcome to Uster Hospital, where modern medicine and a familial spirit perfectly complement each other. As a central pillar of healthcare in the Zurich Oberland and the largest employer in the city of Uster, we offer a working environment characterised by helpfulness, honesty, and appreciation. Here you experience the highest level of professional expertise daily in an environment where you are valued as a person and supported in your professional development. Uster Hospital is a teaching hospital of the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich. Become part of our dedicated community and pursue with us the vision of a "regional and digital health hub in Zurich East"!
The emergency department was restructured in November 2022 into an interdisciplinary emergency department under its own medical leadership. Currently, we treat approximately 26,000 emergency patients annually from a rapidly growing catchment area of around 200,000 inhabitants.
Fundamental changes have already been made on this path, which are now being expanded and continued. Currently, there is an interdisciplinary working approach among the nursing team as well as the team of assistant physicians.
The interdisciplinary senior physicians will act as team leaders in a modern three-shift system (early, middle, late). This allows time for structural development, project work, leadership tasks, and further training of the nursing and assistant physician teams. A structural redesign is also planned.
Our emergency department is a recognised training centre for SGAIM Category IV outpatient internal medicine, SGNOR Category II clinical emergency medicine, as well as FA POCUS emergency sonography. Further training in sonography is additionally supported by the in-house radiology department.
As part of the establishment and expansion of an interdisciplinary and interprofessional senior team, we are seeking immediately or by arrangement a
