The Les Noisetiers Foundation is a multi-site medico-social institution, recognised for the quality of its services, its facilities and its working environment. Following a retirement, we are looking for our future cook for our EPSM in Sassel. The establishment has 24 beds and 26 staff members.
Your main duties:
As a cook, you prepare the daily meals for residents and staff in an open kitchen, the true living heart of the home. Supported by the housekeeping team members who assist with meal preparation, you are the reference professional in the kitchen. Specifically, you plan menus, organise meal preparation, place orders, manage stocks, maintain equipment and monitor expenses. You are also responsible for food quality, the application of hygiene standards (HACCP), and monitoring residents’ special diets and needs. Within a home where everyone contributes to community life in a family spirit, you also help maintain the vegetable garden and incorporate its produce into your cooking.
You:
- Hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a cook or an equivalent qualification;
- Have at least 2 years of professional experience and experience in institutional catering;
- Have experience in stock management, food planning and kitchen budget monitoring;
- Have a genuine passion for cooking and an interest in dietetics;
- Master culinary techniques allowing you to handle all production: cold dishes, hot meals, pureed foods, desserts and snacks;
- Enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams;
- Are autonomous, organised and able to manage stress and priorities well;
- Have excellent command of French (spoken and written) and common IT tools;
- Are proficient in food safety risk prevention (HACCP);
- Value human relations, show diplomacy in your interactions and can adapt your communication to the personality and needs of people with mental health vulnerabilities;
- Are available to work the hours required by a medico-social institution, including weekends, public holidays and split shifts;
- Must have a driving licence and a personal vehicle.
