About the job
The Company
An internationally leading engineering company in plant construction develops integrated solutions for material flow technology and industrial process plants. The range of services includes conveyor systems, dosing devices as well as loading and unloading equipment for industries such as energy, mining, steel, cement, fertilisers and aluminium. With solid engineering know-how and the use of modern technologies, the company supports its customers throughout the entire lifecycle – from planning and installation to commissioning and worldwide after-sales support. The aim is to sustainably increase the efficiency and performance of the plants while reducing environmental impact.
Your Tasks
This is not about classic clerical work in the narrow sense. You take responsibility for international spare parts and service projects in a technically demanding environment. You operate at the interface between engineering, purchasing, logistics and the customer – and keep all the strings in your hand.
- You process technical customer enquiries and develop tailored solutions including quotations
- You independently manage projects in the spare parts and after-sales area – from enquiry to delivery
- You provide customers with sound advice on the selection of spare parts and services throughout the plant lifecycle
- You negotiate offers and bring them to conclusion
- You coordinate the entire order processing: purchasing, scheduling, quality, transport, invoicing
- You evaluate and manage suppliers and keep costs, deadlines and quality under control
- You create and optimise spare parts lists for complex industrial plants
- You work closely with internal specialist departments and also solve more demanding technical issues
- Occasional international assignments as well as trips to customers and partners in Switzerland
Your Profile
- Technical basic training with commercial further education (Technical Salesperson FA, Technician HF or similar)
- Experience in spare parts business, service or technical environment with industrial goods
- Understanding of complex plants and their interrelationships
- Experience in procurement, supply chain and international processes
- You think entrepreneurially, act independently and take responsibility
- You remain structured and solution-oriented even with parallel topics
- Confident handling of ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written
- Driving licence category B for trips to customers and partners
We Offer
- A role with substance: technically demanding, international and with direct customer contact
- Lots of personal responsibility and scope for design in day-to-day business
- Short decision-making paths and an environment where people support each other
- A stable company with a long-term perspective
