At the Wauwilermoos Correctional Facility, the incarcerated individuals are at the centre - with a daily routine designed to be as life-like as possible, supported by professionalism, humanity, and a well-coordinated team. Due to a retirement, we are seeking a leadership personality who brings security and closeness into harmony.

Your tasks

You lead the Security and Infrastructure department with the three divisions Supervision & Care, Substitute Custodial Sentences (EFS) as well as Technology & Maintenance and manage three division heads with a total of 27 employees.
From the security concept to service orders, you develop the guidelines in the security area and consistently enforce their compliance. You also maintain exchange with emergency services and other partners.
As a leader, you embody the attitude that the incarcerated individuals are at the centre of the work, shape the leadership of your employees accordingly, and are the connecting element.
You plan and accompany maintenance, renovation, and installation work on security and building technology systems as well as construction projects, coordinating closely with the construction project manager and the head of operations.
As a member of the executive board, you actively contribute and network to further develop the institution, and incorporate your expertise into cross-departmental projects and concepts.
You ensure occupational safety as the appointed safety officer (SIBE).

Your profile

Several years of professional and leadership experience, ideally in correctional services, distinguish you; you combine clarity and humanity and provide orientation.
You have a higher technical education or a university degree in a technical field (e.g. engineer) as well as additional training in the conceptual area of security.
You see yourself as a connecting element between different stakeholders and approach conflicts in a solution-oriented manner.
Analytical and networked thinking as well as organisational skills help you to communicate complex matters clearly with linguistic confidence and fluency.
The willingness to train as a correctional services specialist and/or correctional services leadership expert at SKJV as well as to become a certified safety officer (SIBE) completes your profile.
