Role:
On behalf of a client, we are seeking a civil engineer for demanding tasks in structural engineering and structural design. You will design buildings, civil engineering structures, excavation pits, and foundations and accompany projects from the development of the structural concept to realisation. Another focus is on the static and dynamic assessment of existing structures as well as the development of suitable strengthening and modification measures. The position is particularly suitable for university graduates and younger engineers who wish to deepen their expertise and gradually develop towards project management.
Responsibilities:
Design of demanding structures in building and civil engineering from concept phase to execution
Development and assessment of structural concepts in reinforced concrete, steel, and timber construction
Execution of static and dynamic calculations and dimensioning of structures
Planning and dimensioning of foundations, excavation pits, and geotechnical constructions
Investigation and static verification of existing structures
Development of renovation, reinforcement, and strengthening concepts for existing buildings
Preparation of calculation reports, technical documentation, and bases for execution planning
Use of modern digital planning and calculation methods and participation in BIM-oriented planning processes
Interdisciplinary collaboration with architects, specialist planners, and other engineering disciplines
Technical support of projects during the realisation and execution phase
Gradual assumption of project responsibility with development prospects towards independent project management
Qualifications:
Completed Master's degree in Civil Engineering ETH/University, ideally with a focus on structural engineering
Solid theoretical knowledge in structural analysis, structural mechanics, construction, and geotechnics
Expertise in reinforced concrete, steel, and timber construction
Interest in structural design, existing buildings, and structural engineering
Interest in digital planning, BIM, and modern calculation methods
Initial practical experience in an engineering office or structural engineering is an advantage
Good German language skills, spoken and written
