Your role

In this role, you take on the professional and personnel leadership of our Security Operations team – the operational hub of our Security Service. You develop employees further, strengthen the professional excellence within the team and ensure that security topics are implemented and operated in a structured, effective and future-oriented manner.

Together with internal specialist departments and external partners, you develop our Security Services further and contribute to sustainably expanding the operational security area. In doing so, you combine leadership, coaching and technical expertise – creating an environment where people and topics can develop equally.

Your main tasks

• Professional and personnel leadership of the Security Operations team
• Further development of team members as well as promotion of know-how and best practices
• Personal and professional mentoring and coaching within the team
• Planning and conducting internal workshops and training sessions
• Ensuring operation and further development of our Security Services
• Responsibility for managing security-relevant topics under Linux and Windows (e.g. hardening, compliance, auditing)
• Implementation and operation of Microsoft Defender for Linux/Windows and Trend Micro for Linux/Windows
• Creation of Bash, PowerShell and Python scripts to automate routine tasks, monitoring and reporting
• Collaboration with internal teams on security analyses, risk assessments and implementation of appropriate measures
• Participation in security incidents
• Management and service of external security providers
• Assistance with security concepts, customer projects, incidents and service requests

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in IT security as well as operation of security, vulnerability and monitoring systems
• Completed studies in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification
• Experience in personnel and professional leadership
• Experience in mentoring and coaching employees
• Solid experience in Windows and Linux environments (Debian, RHEL, etc.)
• Good knowledge in DevSecOps as well as programming skills in Bash, PowerShell and Python
• Basic understanding of modern web application security
• Practical experience with Syslog/SIEM/SOAR systems as well as IAM/PAM
• Knowledge of Defender and TrendMicro solutions is desirable
• Team player, high initiative and structured working style
• German and English spoken and written
