We are seeking an engaged Operating Theatre Assistant (OTA) for a modern acute hospital, starting immediately, for a deployment of around 6 months with a workload of 80-100%. Your Responsibilities
- Instrument handling and assisting during surgical procedures in various specialties
- Proper preparation and post-processing of operating theatres
- Ensuring and maintaining hygiene, quality, and safety standards
- Responsibility for the provision, inspection, and maintenance of instruments and medical devices
- Close interprofessional collaboration with surgeons, anaesthesia, and the entire operating theatre team
- Documentation of relevant surgical procedures and materials
- Contributing to a smooth and efficient surgical operation
Our Requirements
- Completed training as an Operating Theatre Assistant (OTA) or equivalent training in the operating theatre field
- Professional experience in an acute hospital is an advantage
- Independent, responsible, and structured working style
- High professional and social competence as well as teamwork skills
- Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to maintain an overview even in demanding situations
- Good German language skills, both spoken and written
