IT Network and Security Specialist (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF115,000 - 135,000Role:
In this role, you will take on the planning, implementation, and operation of modern network and security infrastructures for diverse customer environments. You are responsible for the stable, secure, and high-quality operation of these environments and bring your proven senior expertise to both demanding projects and ongoing operations. Through your holistic view of IT networks and security architectures, you ensure that solutions are not only technically convincing but also sustainable and scalable. You analyse existing infrastructures, identify optimisation potentials, and implement appropriate security and network measures in a targeted manner. In doing so, you act as the central contact person for complex issues in the field of IT network and security and thus significantly shape the further development of customer landscapes.
Responsibilities:
- You plan, configure, and operate network and security solutions from architecture to commissioning and maintenance.
- In this role, you analyse existing environments, identify weaknesses, and implement targeted optimisations.
- As an IT network and security specialist, you work with technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco, HPE Aruba, and Extreme.
- You are responsible for solutions in areas such as VPN, remote access, web and email security, as well as load balancing.
- In this role, you participate in projects and ensure 2nd and 3rd level support.
- As an IT network and security specialist, you periodically take on on-call duties to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- You have completed training as an IT specialist and have several years of professional experience in network and security engineering.
- You have solid practical experience in the design, implementation, and operation of network and security architectures as well as in complex firewall environments.
- You have broad operational experience in areas such as VPN, remote access, web and email security, load balancing, and network infrastructure.
- You work confidently with technologies from leading manufacturers such as Fortinet, Cisco, HPE Aruba, or Extreme.
- You communicate confidently in German both orally and in writing and present yourself confidently in collaboration with clients.
- Ideally, you complement your profile with experience in ZTNA, WLAN, email encryption (e.g. SEPPmail), or Azure networking and a willingness to pursue further certification.
