Linux System Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
- You ensure the stable, secure and high-performance operation of the Linux-based system and platform landscape together with internal teams and external partners
- In this role, you continuously operate, monitor and develop the infrastructure and platform services
- As a Linux System Administrator, you actively participate in company-wide infrastructure and network projects and contribute your experience in design, implementation and operation
- You take responsibility in incident, problem and change management and independently analyse faults down to system and network level
- In this role, you advise application managers on Linux systems, network infrastructure, platform architecture and security and act as a technical interface to development and operations
- As a Linux System Administrator, you maintain the system and network technical documentation and ensure its currency and availability
Qualifications:
- You have completed IT training or have several years of professional experience as a Linux System Engineer / Administrator
- Ideally, you have sound knowledge in operating Oracle Linux systems
- You are familiar with networking, especially LAN / WLAN, switching and routing, Cisco networks as well as authentication and access mechanisms such as 802.1X
- You have experience with container and platform environments such as RedHat OpenShift, Docker and Podman
- You automate recurring tasks with Ansible and scripting, for example with Bash or Python, and have experience with virtualisation technologies, backup and storage solutions such as Veeam
- You are confident in heterogeneous IT environments with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server/Clients, AD, Exchange, Teams, VoIP as well as Git and have user knowledge of the Atlassian Cloud Suite
