System Engineer

To complement our well-established and motivated team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement at our headquarters in Urdorf near Zurich for a proactive, independent and motivated Senior ICT System / Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d).

Job Description

• Responsibility for the stability and maintenance of our own on-premise infrastructure as well as customer server environments
• Technical 2nd/3rd level support focusing on servers, networks and services (not a classic end-user helpdesk; user management primarily for onboarding/offboarding)
• Resolving complex requests in close collaboration with the team
• Active participation in IT projects & process optimisation
• Installation, configuration & maintenance of hardware/software
• 24/7 on-call duty in a rotating system (approx. 1 week per month, fully compensated)

Qualifications

• Several years of solid professional experience in a comparable role (senior level)
• IT training or degree with relevant certifications
• Experience in Microsoft/Linux administration & MS Azure
• Confident handling of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, JSM)
• Scripting skills: Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Know-how in VMware, KVM, Zabbix & Veeam
• Familiar with AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO & network technology (VLAN, VPN, firewall)
• Independent, team-oriented, communicative
• Fluent in German & English

Advantageous:

• Basic knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL
• Ideally, you already bring organisational leadership skills
• French
