Responsibilities:
Obtaining and comparing supplier offers as well as conducting price and contract negotiations
Reviewing technical documents, parts lists and drawings with regard to procurement requirements
Ensuring material availability for prototypes, series launches and ongoing production orders
Building and maintaining supplier relationships in the mechanical and electronic sectors
Processing orders including deadline monitoring and matching order confirmations
Identifying alternative sources in case of supply shortages and capacity issues
Evaluating external manufacturing partners for assemblies and electronic components
Maintaining purchasing data and further developing internal procurement processes
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing in an industrial or technology-oriented company
Technical understanding of mechanical components, electronics and electromechanical systems
Knowledge in evaluating technical drawings, specifications and parts lists
Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP, as well as knowledge of PLM applications
Confident communication skills with national and international suppliers
Independent working style and ability to prioritise under short-term procurement requirements
Practical experience with electronics manufacturers, external production partners or procurement of sensors, motors and circuit boards is an advantage
Very good German and business fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
