For our client, an established Swiss industrial company in the field of mechanical engineering and technical plant solutions, we are looking for a reliable, practically minded and travel-friendly personality as a Service Technician Mechanical Engineering / Plant Assembly 80-100% (m/f).
In this versatile role, you combine technical service assignments at customers with practical assembly work in the company. About 50% of your working time you are on the road and support customers directly on site. The remaining time you work at the location in assembly, installation and preparation of machines and plants.
The position is particularly suitable for a technical specialist who seeks variety, enjoys practical work and takes pleasure not only in assembling machines but also in supporting them in international or cross-regional deployment.
- Carrying out service assignments at customers on site
- Support with installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of machines
- Analysis and rectification of mechanical, pneumatic or electromechanical faults
- Conducting functional tests, adjustments and technical inspections
- Support with conversions, modifications and optimisations of existing plants
- Preparing machines, assemblies and components for customer installations
- Cooperation with assembly, technical department, engineering, spare parts service and project managers
- Documentation of completed work, feedback and technical findings
- Ensuring a clean, reliable and customer-oriented working method
Ideally, you bring:
- Completed training as a polymechanic, production mechanic, automation technician, automatic assembler, agricultural machinery mechanic, construction machinery mechanic, plant and apparatus builder or comparable technical training
- Experience in assembly, mechanical engineering, service, maintenance or plant construction is an advantage
- Good technical understanding in mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics or electromechanics
- Ability to understand technical drawings, schematics and assembly documents
- Enjoyment of practical work, troubleshooting and technical solutions
- High willingness to travel of around 50%, sometimes also for assignments lasting several weeks
- Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style
- Customer-oriented manner and enjoyment of an international or cross-regional environment
- Good German skills in spoken and written form
- English skills are an advantage
- Driving licence category B is an advantage

Profile
You have a technical basic education and enjoy machines, assembly, service assignments and direct customer contact. It is important that you like to travel and can also professionally and reliably undertake longer assignments.Ideally, you bring:
