Export Specialist (m/f/d)

Role:
Due to the further expansion of the team, an additional position with a lot of personal responsibility is created at the interface between logistics and foreign trade. We are looking for a person who is as confident with international transports as with customs and import/export issues. In addition to the operational day-to-day business, you can contribute your expertise purposefully and actively help shape the further development of processes and structures. Responsibilities:
You coordinate international transports by road, air and sea and ensure timely and cost-effective handling
You are responsible for operational import and export customs clearance and are the central contact person for customers and other interfaces on customs and foreign trade matters
You work closely with international freight forwarders, customs agents, authorities and internal specialist departments
You prepare and check transport, customs, shipping and commercial documents and ensure their correct processing
You monitor transport costs, service provider performance and relevant key figures and take over the control of freight invoices
You handle topics related to goods origin, preferences, free trade agreements and export control
You analyse existing transport and customs processes and actively contribute to their optimisation as well as to cross-departmental projects
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in international transport, freight forwarding or in the area of import/export and customs
Commercial or freight forwarding basic training with further education as foreign trade specialist, freight forwarding specialist, customs declarant or comparable qualification
Sound knowledge of import and export customs clearance as well as international foreign trade
Experience in organising international road, air and sea freight transports
Knowledge of Incoterms, goods origin, preferences, free trade agreements and export control
Very good German and English skills, French is an advantage
