As Venture Program Leader, you will drive the incubation programs for science-based startups, supporting founders as they transition from their lab to launching their company.
Lead the development and execution of EPFL's deep tech incubation program, supporting the creation of startups.
Provide strategic and operational leadership. Foster a vibrant entrepreunarial ecosystem.
Program Design & Management
- Lead EPFL's incubation program tailored to science-based ventures, bringing them from research to company incorporation.
- Implement rigorous, trasparent selection and evaluation processes.
- Define and track KPIs and outcomes to measure impact. Manage program budgets.
- Benchmarkt against leading global programs
Founder Support & Community Building
- Provide tailored mentorship and strategic guidance to founders, supporting them through early development, customer validation, and initial fundraising.
- Build an engaged community of startup founders "” both during incubation and post incorporation.
- Represent EPFL's incubation program at events and selection juries, raising visibility for the program and its startups.
Ecosystem Engagement & Stakeholder Relations
- Build strong relationship with EPFL's research community.
- Forster engagement with external partners including public funding agencies and non-for-profit organizations.
- Maintain a network of experts and investors who can provide strategic support to startups
- Engineering background, preferably PhD
- 5-10 years of experience beyond academia, preferably in or around early-stage startups
- Deep understanding of venture building in science domains. Experience bringing a product to market is a plus
- Proven track record in program or project management
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on mind-set
- Excellent interpersonal skills and engaging personality
- Strong comunication and presentation skills in both English and French (German is a plus)
