In this role, you take responsibility for the continuous development of the network and network security architecture, ensuring stable, future-oriented network solutions. You evaluate, install, and optimise existing as well as new network infrastructure components and contribute significantly to the further development of a complex network infrastructure. With your bachelor’s degree in computer science or cyber security, your solid knowledge of network technologies, and experience in WLAN, firewall, and IT security, you bring the necessary expertise. Thanks to your very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, you communicate confidently in a demanding technical environment. As an eager learner, you continuously deepen your product and technology knowledge and actively shape the further development of the ICT landscape.
Responsibilities:
You continuously develop our network and security architecture and ensure a future-proof infrastructure.
You evaluate new technologies and network components and accompany their introduction from technical review to productive implementation.
You design and optimise solutions for routing, switching, WLAN, and firewalling.
You analyse existing network architectures, identify improvement potentials, and implement technical optimisations.
You work closely with system engineering, cyber security, and other ICT teams on complex infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
Completed studies in computer science, cyber security, or comparable technical qualification.
Solid experience with enterprise networks and technologies such as routing, switching, VLAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewalls.
Practical knowledge of solutions from, for example, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or comparable manufacturers.
Good understanding of network architecture, IT security, and modern infrastructure concepts.
Analytical and structured working style, high willingness to learn, as well as very good German and English skills.
