Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Building Construction for the development and planning of demanding building construction projects. You will be responsible for projects, particularly from project development through planning coordination to building permit approval, managing the collaboration between architecture, construction management, and planning. Other key areas include cost control, quality assurance, and client support during the planning and sample selection phase. The position combines technical project responsibility with the coordination of all relevant interfaces in Swiss building construction.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for project development and project management of building construction projects up to legally binding building permit approval

• Management and coordination of the entire planning and approval process including schedule and task management

• Coordination of collaboration between architects, site managers, draftsmen, specialist planners, and other experts

• Alignment of project requirements with clients, authorities, and internal project participants

• Review and coordination of project, building application, execution, and detail plans regarding quality and technical feasibility

• Preparation and support of building applications and approval procedures as well as coordination of necessary evidence and project documents

• Ongoing quality assurance and plan review as well as monitoring of agreed project and execution standards

• Monitoring of project costs and invoices in close coordination with the responsible construction management

• Support of clients during sample selections and material decisions as well as coordination of resulting planning adjustments

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, cantonal building regulations, and official requirements

• Maintaining a structured project and planning documentation as well as tracking decisions, changes, and approvals

Qualifications:

• Basic construction training as bricklayer EFZ, carpenter EFZ, or draftsman EFZ specialising in architecture

• Further training as certified construction manager or technician HF construction planning/building construction

• Several years of professional experience in project management, planning, or construction management in Swiss building construction

• Sound knowledge in project development, planning coordination, and building permit procedures

• Knowledge in cost control, plan review, and quality assurance

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
