Senior Physician or Deputy Senior Physician Internal Medicine

The Riggisberg Hospital, part of the Insel Group, forms an important regional service centre in the Gantrisch region with its broad basic care offering. Our lively interdisciplinary 24/7 emergency department is the primary point of contact outside consultation hours for the regional emergency service. The clinics for General Internal Medicine, Surgery with the specialties of Accident and Trauma Surgery, Visceral Surgery, and Orthopaedics, as well as the university neuro-rehabilitation, have 78 inpatient beds available. In medical training, we focus on the first clinical year after graduation.

What to expect

• Treatment and care of inpatients from a broad spectrum of internal medicine
• Treatment of emergencies in our interdisciplinary emergency department
• Participation in the training and supervision of our assistant physicians (training centre category C)
• Planned working hours without on-call, night, or weekend duties

What you bring

• Enjoyment in actively transferring knowledge to young colleagues
• Recently acquired specialist title in General Internal Medicine or in the final year of training before obtaining the specialist title
• Team-oriented, open, committed personality with high social competence
• Very good German skills and experience in the Swiss healthcare system
